1. What materials can I ship with this program?

Personal computer equipment - monitors, CPUs, laptops, mice and keyboards - and peripherals such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, etc. from any manufacturer. Items that cannot be included are disassembled monitors, monitors with shattered, broken or cracked screens, and loose batteries.

2. What do I use for a box and do you provide one?
In keeping with our goal of reducing waste and promoting reuse, we do not provide either the shipping box or packaging materials, that is your responsibility. Used boxes, such as those your computer and monitor came in, are fine as long as they are in good condition. Also office supply stores and packaging services sell boxes and packaging material for this application.
3. What if I do not have a complete system to ship?
Each box shipped may contain any combination of personal computer related equipment for recycling. Packaging must be supplied by the customer and please remember ... do not ship loose batteries, monitors with broken screens, or other restricted items as noted in the "shipping instructions" section of this website. For example you could include a CPU and two printers, or a monitor and four keyboards in your shipment.
4. What happens to my equipment once it is received?
Metech's Total Consumption RecyclingSM and Accountable Resource Management ® protocols warrant that all products and materials will be properly recycled. Recycling includes reuse and recovery of contained materials. Additionally all materials classified as hazardous waste once removed from the computer system will be properly disposed of at a licensed and Metech audited facility. Metech International is an ISO 9001:2001 and 14001 certified company. See www.metechgroup.com for more information.

ISO 14001 is an international environmental standard that means that Metech has written environment standards and procedures and we are committed to improving the environment.
6. How many boxes can I ship with one label?
You can ship only one box per label. If you want to ship two boxes you must purchase two ARMŽ Computer Recycling labels.
7. I have a lot of equipment to ship, do I have to purchase lots of mailing labels?
No, this program is designed for the individual that has a small amount of computer related equipment to recycle. If you have a large quantity, either call Metech International at (888) METARM1 or email Metech International at recycleapple@metechgroup.com.
8. I accidentally shipped the wrong item, what do I do?
Unfortunately Metech is not responsible for equipment shipped in error. Any equipment shipped in error cannot be recovered unless the equipment is loose batteries or monitors with broken screens.
